MESSAGING FACILITY
 
 

             

There is a facility in court-i for publishing notices, sending messages, etc.  Every user can avail of this facility. To use this, log in to the system using user name and password.  Once logged in, a symbol in the shape of an envelope will be visible on top of the page just below the banner. Click on it and the user will be redirected to another page. This page will also have many multiple links on the left side of the page.

1. Viewing a notice
Once a user has logged in, he/she must access the messaging facility at the top of the main page. Then he/she must click the "Notice Board" button from the left hand side of the screen. All the new notices can be viewed from this screen.


2.Adding a notice
A notice can be added by using the Messaging facility in Court-i. First login to the system using the login details. Then click the envelope symbol on the top of the page to be redirected to the messaging service. Once redirected, choose the "Add Notice" button on the left hand side of the page. Fill in all the details of the notice - Office, Title, and the Notice and click “Add Notice" button. The notice will be saved into the database.


3. Mail Box
Mailbox is a facility for sending as well as receiving mails from various users.

4. Chatting facility
The Chat room facility can be used to converse with another officer in the organization. To make use of this, the user must login using the login details. Then click the envelope symbol at the top the page to be redirected to the messaging facility. Click the "Chat Room" button on the left hand side of the screen. A chat box will appear at the middle of the screen. This is where the online text conversations can take place.

5. Online File transfer
The online File Transfer system allows a file to be uploaded to any user from any terminal. To access this facility, login to the Court-i.  An envelope symbol will be present on the top of the page. Click on it. From the left hand side of the page, choose the File Transfer option.
Two entry fields will come up.
In the “Recipient” field, choose the user to whom the file is to be uploaded to.
In the “File Name” field, choose the file that is to be uploaded. Once this is done, click the “Upload” button next to these fields.
A full report of what files were sent and to whom will appear at the bottom of the page.

6.Parameters
This facility allows a user with the respective privileges to limit the content that is being transferred i.e. a limit can be applied to all the chats, notices, messages that is being transferred online. This can be done by login into the system using the login details. Choose the messaging system from the top of the page. Once in the messaging page, choose the "Parameters" button from the left hand side. This will redirect the user to a page with 3 fields - Notice Limit , Chat message limit, Mail limit. The user must enter the desired limit into this field and click the "Save" button for the details to be saved.

7. Returning to the Home Page.
The Back button in the Messaging page is used to return back to the main home page.
